Saya senang baca koran, apalagi berita lokal Gresik. Saat senggang saya sempatkan (nunut) baca koran kantor, Jawa Pos. Korannya dirut PLN, Dahlan Iskan, sekarang menyajikan satu halaman khusus untuk kota pudak. Beberapa waktu lalu, satu halaman Jawapos, jadi rebutan berita Gresik dan Sidoarjo, namun sering sekali porsi berita Sidoarjo lebih banyak.
Koran baru Radar Surabaya, menawarkan paket tree in one. Koran lokal ini memberikan Radar Surabaya dan menambahkan 2 paket lagi, Radar Sidoarjo dan Radar Gresik. Saya tertarik juga untuk mencobanya. Khusus halaman gresik, mereka hanya menyediakan satu halaman, hampir sama dengan Jawapos sekarang, tapi harga lebih murah, hanya separuhnya.
Koran lainnya, Duta Masyarakat, hanya sesekali menampilkan kabar Gresik, kalau ada peristiwa besar saja atau kejadian yang layak diliput. Termasuk koran-koran lain, mungkin hampir sama tipenya dengan Duta Masyarakat.
Sebagai warga Gresik, harusnya berita tentang Gresik menjadi sarapan pagi bacaan warga kota pudak. Bagi saya berita tentang kota sebelah, tidak sepenting dan semenarik warta kota sendiri. Walaupun berita nasional, olahraga dan hiburan, memang kadang lebih menarik.
Saya mendambakan koran (tabloid, dsb) lokal Gresik menebarkan informasi, baik politik, ekonomi, kriminal, pendidikan, pembangunan, hiburan dan sebagainya dari semua wilayah Gresik. Dan semua informasi semoga bisa dimanfaatkan dengan baik oleh warganya.
Dari luas wilayah, tentunya tidak ada hal yang tidak layak untuk dijadikan berita. Mulai dari ujung utara, Panceng, Ujungpangkah, Sidayu, Dukun dan Bungah. Wilayah Kota, Gresik, Kebomas dan Manyar. Wilayah selatan Duduksampeyan, Cerme, Benjeng, Balongpanggang. Dan wilayah paling selatan Menganti, Kedamean, Driyorejo dan Wringinanom. Serta kabar dari seberang pulau Bawean, Sangkapura dan Tambak.
Dulur, mungkin selama ini sudah ada koran/tabloid lokal gresik, dan saya saja yang belum pernah tahu. Kalau ada koran/tabloid lain yang memberitakan Gresik, tolong direkomendasikan ke saya. Tapi kalau memang benar-benar belum ada, kita bikin saja koran lokal Gresik, beritanya full nggersik… 😀
